Bentonville Film Festival once again delivered a week full of family-friendly fun, from films and panels to meet-and-greets, outdoor movies, and activities at the Walmart Toy Corner. Here are three highlights that stood out to the Peekaboo team.

Known to many families as The Space Gal, Emily Calandrelli shared exciting news about her upcoming Crayola Studios series, Create the Impossible. We loved spending time with Emily throughout the festival. She was incredibly genuine, welcoming, and passionate about inspiring kids to dream big through creativity and STEM.

One of our favorite documentaries was Cookie Queens, which follows four Girl Scouts from across the country during cookie season. The film is a sweet and inspiring look at leadership, confidence, and entrepreneurship through the eyes of young girls.

It arrives in theaters August 7.

We also got an early screening of Netflix's new Little House on the Prairie series.

The first episode captured the adventure and heart that made the original stories so beloved, and we're excited to see how the series unfolds when it premieres July 9.

One of our readers, along with her dad, joined us for the event and loved meeting actress Crosby Fitzgerald, who plays Caroline “Ma” Ingalls.
